Used CFMoto Parts
Used CFMoto parts, inspected and shipped from Florida
Sun Coast Cycle Sports stocks inspected, used OEM parts for CFMoto ATVs, UTVs, side-by-sides, and motorcycles. Each component we list has been pulled from a specific donor machine, photographed individually, assigned its own unique SKU, and graded for condition before it reaches our shelves. Because CFMoto's U.S. dealer network is still developing and OEM parts supply from Zhejiang can involve long lead times, sourcing a clean used part is often the fastest and most cost-effective way to keep your machine running. We carry components for the full CFMoto powersports lineup, including CForce 500, CForce 600, CForce 800, CForce 1000, UForce 800, UForce 1000, ZForce 800, ZForce 950 Sport, ZForce 1000, 300NK, 300SS, CF125 Papio, and 650 Adventura. Most of these parts are one-of-one salvage items and will not be restocked once sold. All orders ship from our facility in central Florida.
CFMoto model overview
CFMoto (Chunfeng Motor) was founded in 1989 in Hangzhou, China and has grown into one of the world's largest powersports manufacturers by volume. The company entered the North American market in the mid-2000s with budget ATVs and has steadily moved upmarket, building credibility through a major partnership with KTM that began in 2013. Through their joint venture company CFMoto-KTMR2R (51% CFMoto, 49% KTM), CFMoto assembles KTM 200 and 390 Duke models for the Chinese market and manufactures the 799cc LC8c parallel-twin engine used in KTM's 790 and 890 series. CFMoto also purchased exclusive rights to KTM's first-generation LC8 990 V-twin platform, which powers CFMoto's own 1250TR-G tourer in upgraded 1279cc form.
In the United States, CFMoto's product range spans three categories. The ATV line includes the CForce series from 400cc to 1000cc displacement. The side-by-side UTV line covers utility machines (UForce 800, UForce 1000) and sport models (ZForce 800, ZForce 950, ZForce 1000). The motorcycle line, which launched in the U.S. market around 2022, includes the 300NK and 300SS entry-level bikes, the KTM-derived 800MT (Ibex 800) adventure platform, the 450SS sportbike, the 700CL-X series, and the CF125 Papio mini-moto. CFMoto's ATV and UTV engines are the company's own designs and share no components with KTM powertrains. This distinction matters for used parts buyers: motorcycle engine internals may have KTM-derived architecture, but ATV and UTV drivetrains are entirely CFMoto-specific.

Kayaba fully-adjustable suspension, J.Juan brakes, TFT display. |
Common failure points and frequently replaced components
CForce 400 / CForce 500 (2015-2020): The most significant issue on these models is cracked fuel hoses, which prompted a CPSC recall in September 2018 covering approximately 5,300 units across the 2016-2018 CForce 400 and 2017-2018 CForce 500S/500HO. The fuel hose material degrades and leaks, creating a fire hazard. Any used CForce 400 or 500 from these model years should have the recall completed before operation. Owners also report hard cold starting (particularly at elevation or in cool weather), excessive heat radiating from the CVT cover area into the rider's right leg, and fuel gauge inaccuracy on earlier production units.
CForce 800 / CForce 1000 Touring (2024): The 2024 CForce 800 Touring and CForce 1000 Touring were subject to CPSC recall 25-019 (approximately 2,650 units) for a throttle lever that fails to return to idle when released, causing uncontrolled acceleration. Four incidents were reported including one crash with minor injury. The throttle return spring mechanism requires dealer inspection and repair.
UForce 800 / UForce 1000 (all years): CVT belt wear is the dominant maintenance item across all CFMoto UTVs. Belt life varies dramatically with use, from under 1,000 miles in aggressive off-road riding to 3,000+ miles in light utility duty. Owners report jerking power delivery and high-revving before clutch engagement as the primary symptoms of belt or clutch wear. Excessive cabin heat is widely reported on the UForce 1000, with heat from the engine and exhaust radiating into the passenger area. Output shaft seal leaks on the UForce 800 V-twin have been documented across multiple model years, with the transmission output seal to the front driveshaft being the most common failure point. Some UForce 1000 owners report premature differential wear producing metal filings on drain plug magnets within the first 1,000 miles.
ZForce 950 HO Sport (2022-2023): All 2022-2023 ZForce 950 HO Sport units were recalled for shock absorber rod assemblies that unthread and detach, causing complete suspension collapse. The CPSC reported 86 incidents including one tip-over injury. Approximately 3,600 units were affected. Any used ZForce 950 shock absorbers should be verified as post-recall replacements before installation.
ZForce 800 (2018): The 2018 ZForce 500 Trail, ZForce 800 Trail, and ZForce 1000 SSV were recalled under CPSC for a steering defect on recreational off-highway vehicles sold between December 2017 and July 2018. Fuel delivery issues and air filter contamination are commonly reported on ZForce 800 models, with symptoms of sudden power loss, engine stall, and fuel-soaked air filters pointing to fuel pump failures or clogged fuel lines.
300NK / 300SS (all years): Being CFMoto's highest-volume motorcycle in the U.S., the 300NK has accumulated meaningful owner feedback. Electrical gremlins including intermittent instrument cluster faults, phantom warning lights, and no-start conditions are the most common complaints. These are typically traced to vulnerable wiring connectors and moisture ingress rather than component failure. The gearbox is described as notchy, particularly the first-to-second shift, and clutch lever adjustment requires more frequent attention than comparable Japanese 300cc machines.
650NK / 650MT (all years): The 649cc parallel-twin engine is generally durable, with owners reporting reliable service to 20,000+ kilometers without major internal issues. Known weak points include side cover gasket oil weepage (particularly on pre-2015 models), front brake disc warping causing pulsation under braking, and stiff suspension that transmits harsh impacts over rough roads. Parts availability from CFMoto has historically been slow, with dealer service departments reporting extended wait times for warranty components.
700CL-X / 700CL-X Sport (2022-2023): All 2022-2023 700CL-X models were recalled under NHTSA 23V-779 (1,374 units) for ABS control module software that delays braking by approximately 0.3 seconds when the brake lever is squeezed two or more times in succession. The fix is a software update performed at the dealer. The European market has also seen separate recalls for starter relay connector issues and gearshift shaft problems on the 700CL-X Heritage.
Ibex 800 / 800MT (2023): All 2023 Ibex 800 S and Ibex 800 T motorcycles were recalled under NHTSA 24V-609 (850 units) for throttle wire breakage caused by three overly tight rubber clasps that force the wire to bend excessively during steering. The symptom is loss of throttle response, limited RPM, or engine stall. CFMoto corrected the clamp configuration for 2024 production. Because this is a KTM LC8c-derived platform, engine-specific failure patterns are limited compared to CFMoto's own designs, but the chassis, electronics, and accessories are entirely CFMoto-sourced.
450SS (2023): All 1,700 units of the 2023 450SS were recalled under NHTSA 24V-108 for the telematics box (T-box GPS navigation unit) dislodging from its rubber mount and dropping into the front steering forks. This can cause partial or complete loss of steering. The fix involves an improved bracket and new rubber bands. There is no way to identify the defect before failure occurs, so recall completion should be verified on any used 2023 450SS.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Do the CForce 800 ATV and UForce 800 UTV share engine parts?
Yes. Both the CForce 800 and UForce 800 use the same CFMoto 800cc V-twin engine. Internal engine components such as pistons, cylinder heads, crankshafts, and gasket sets are interchangeable between the two platforms. However, the frame, drivetrain layout, CVT housing, and exhaust routing differ between the ATV and UTV applications, so parts outside the engine block itself are not cross-compatible.
Q: Can I use KTM 790 engine parts on a CFMoto Ibex 800 (800MT)?
The CFMoto Ibex 800 uses a 799cc parallel-twin derived from KTM's LC8c architecture, the same engine family found in the KTM 790 Duke and 790 Adventure. Some internal engine components such as bearings, gaskets, and valve train parts may cross-reference between the two, but CFMoto applies its own tuning, ECU mapping, and accessory fitment. Always verify part numbers against both manufacturers' catalogs before ordering. External components like exhaust headers, airbox, wiring harness, and engine mounts are entirely different between CFMoto and KTM applications.
Q: Are CFMoto ATV and UTV engines related to KTM in any way?
No. The KTM partnership applies exclusively to CFMoto's motorcycle line. All CFMoto CForce ATVs, UForce UTVs, and ZForce sport side-by-sides use engines designed and manufactured entirely by CFMoto with no KTM involvement. The 400cc and 500cc singles, 580cc single, 800cc V-twin, and 963cc V-twin found in CFMoto off-road vehicles share no components with any KTM engine platform.
Q: Was the ZForce 950 shock absorber recall completed on all units?
CFMoto issued a stop-ride notice and recall covering all 2022-2023 ZForce 950 HO Sport side-by-sides (approximately 3,600 units) for shock absorber rod assemblies that unthread and cause suspension collapse. Eighty-six failures were reported before the recall. If you are purchasing a used ZForce 950 or used shocks from one, verify that the recall repair was completed by an authorized CFMoto dealer. Unrepaired units pose a serious crash and tip-over hazard.
Q: Do the CFMoto 300NK and 300SS share the same parts?
The 300NK naked and 300SS faired sportbike are built on the same platform. The 292cc single-cylinder engine, frame, swingarm, wheels, brakes, and most electrical components are identical. The differences are bodywork (the 300SS has full fairings), handlebar type (clip-ons on the SS versus a standard bar on the NK), instrument cluster design, and subframe geometry. If you need engine, suspension, brake, or electrical parts, either model can serve as a donor for the other.
