How We Test & Inspect Used Parts

Every part we sell is pulled from a real machine, inspected by a powersports technician, photographed individually, and backed by a 30-day guarantee. This page explains exactly what that process involves, so you know what you are buying before you order.

Every part is inspected and tested before it is listed

Parts are removed from donor machines in our Odessa, Florida facility and inspected by technicians who work on powersports equipment every day. Electrical and mechanical components are tested for basic function before they are listed. When a part is tested and works correctly, the listing says so. When a part is sold as-is, untested, or has damage, the listing says that too.

We do not list parts we would not install ourselves. Parts that fail inspection are not sold.

You see the actual part you will receive

Every listing is photographed individually. The photos on a product page are of that specific part, not a stock image and not a similar item from another machine. Wear, scratches, scuffs, and any damage are shown in the photos rather than hidden.

Because these are used parts pulled from real machines, normal signs of age and use are expected. Our goal is that the part arrives looking exactly like the photos you saw.

We tell you which machine the part came from

Most listings identify the donor machine the part was removed from, including year, make, model, and the mileage at the time of disassembly when that information is available. A typical description reads: "Part is off a Good Running 2010 Yamaha FZ1 with 9,319 miles."

Donor information matters on used parts. A component pulled from a low-mileage, clean-running machine is a different purchase than the same component pulled from a high-mileage or damaged one, and you should be able to tell the difference before you buy.

Condition is described honestly

Where a part has a defect, we describe the defect. Listings use plain language such as cracked, bent, scratched, or damaged rather than burying problems in fine print. Where a part is in good shape, we say that as well.

If a part does not match its description or photos when it arrives, that is covered by our warranty and we will make it right.

Only one of each part is in stock

We sell used and salvage parts, which means most listings are genuinely one-of-a-kind. Each part has its own SKU and its own photos. When a part sells, that listing is gone. Nothing is reserved until checkout is complete.

This is also why we do not publish product-level star ratings. There is only ever one of each part, so per-part review scores would be meaningless. Instead, we point to our company-wide reputation across more than 211,000 eBay ratings and our Google store rating.

Every order is backed by a 30-day guarantee

  • 30-day warranty on all parts from the date of delivery, covering defects and conditions not described in the listing.
  • Free shipping to the lower 48 United States. Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and international destinations are quoted separately after purchase.
  • Ships within 1 business day on in-stock parts.
  • Free return shipping when the fault is ours, such as an incorrect or defective part.

Full details are on our warranty page and returns policy.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What does "tested" actually mean on a used part?

For electrical components it means the part was powered up and confirmed to function. For mechanical components it means the part was inspected for wear, cracks, straightness, and free movement as applicable. Testing confirms basic function at the time of listing; it is not a guarantee of remaining service life on a wear item.

Q: Are these OEM parts or aftermarket?

The large majority of our inventory is original equipment removed from donor machines. Where a part is aftermarket, the listing identifies the brand.

Q: How do I know a part will fit my machine?

Listings include the donor machine and, where available, the OEM part number. The most reliable way to confirm fitment is to match the OEM part number against your own machine. If you are not certain, call us at 813-774-8844 or email service@sccs.co before ordering and we will check it for you.

Q: Can I see the machine the part came from?

Many listings include a walkaround video of the donor machine so you can see its overall condition for yourself.

Q: What if the part is not right when it arrives?

Contact us within 30 days. If the part does not match the description or photos, we cover return shipping and issue a full refund or replacement.
