Sun Coast Cycle Sports carries inspected used Kandi parts, individually cataloged and photographed at our Florida location. Kandi America has expanded into the electric UTV segment with a growing lineup of battery-powered side-by-sides and utility vehicles. As a newer entrant in the powersports space, Kandi parts availability through conventional channels is limited, making used OEM components a practical option for owners who need replacements.
Kandi model overview
Kandi America is the North American subsidiary of Kandi Technologies Group (NASDAQ: KNDI), a Chinese company that produces electric vehicles, golf carts, and utility terrain vehicles. Kandi originally focused on compact electric city cars and golf carts before expanding into the UTV market. The company acquired Sportsman Country LLC in 2018 to build dealer relationships for its off-road vehicle products in the United States. Kandi America's UTV lineup consists primarily of all-electric side-by-sides designed for both recreational and light utility use. These vehicles are not street-legal and are intended for off-road, property, and commercial campus applications.
In late 2025, Kandi America launched a Powersports Division that also distributes gas-powered UTVs under the SSR Motorsports brand, broadening the company's product portfolio beyond electric vehicles. This partnership means that some Kandi dealer locations now also service SSR Motorsports machines, creating a shared parts and service infrastructure between the two brands.

Common failure points and frequently replaced components
Innovator e10K (battery and charging system): As with all electric UTVs, the lithium battery pack is the most critical and expensive component. Battery degradation over time reduces range and performance. The J1772 charging port and onboard charger can develop faults related to connection quality and charging interruptions. Owners should follow Kandi's prescribed charging practices to maximize battery lifespan.
All electric models (controller and motor issues): The motor controller manages power delivery from the battery to the drive motors. Controller faults can manifest as sudden loss of power, error codes on the dash display, or the vehicle entering a reduced-power limp mode. Controller replacement or reprogramming typically requires a Kandi-authorized service center.
All models (brake system): Kandi UTVs use hydraulic disc brakes that require standard maintenance including pad replacement and fluid changes. Because electric vehicles do not have engine braking in the same way gas-powered machines do, the service brakes carry the full deceleration load, which can accelerate pad and rotor wear compared to a gas UTV of similar weight.

Frequently asked questions
Q: Are Kandi and SSR Motorsports UTVs related?
Kandi America launched a Powersports Division that distributes SSR Motorsports gas-powered UTVs alongside its own electric vehicle lineup. While the vehicles themselves are different products (Kandi UTVs are electric, SSR Bison models are gas-powered), they may share dealer and service infrastructure. Parts do not interchange between Kandi electric UTVs and SSR gas-powered machines.
Q: Can Kandi electric UTV batteries be replaced or repaired?
The lithium battery pack can be replaced, though it is the single most expensive component on the vehicle. Individual cell replacement within the pack may be possible through specialized EV battery service providers, but this work requires knowledge of battery management systems and high-voltage safety protocols. Used battery packs from lower-mileage donor vehicles can offer significant cost savings over new replacement units.
